He's taken over!

Elmo that is! Now all day long and especially if Garrett sees the computer he asks to see the Elmo clip. We thought it was cute at first and I have to admit it's a great distraction when Garrett gets fussy but now that's all he wants! It's Elmo this and Elmo that... Haha I have to admit Elmo is pretty cute but after the 7Th time of watching Elmo's song it gets kind of tiring. I guess it's Elmo for Christmas this year. haha

Turkey Trot

Yesterday in honor of Thanksgiving and to help support The Orange County Food Bank Mike and I ran the 5k Turkey Trot. It was such a huge accomplishment for me. I've never ran one and have always wanted too. I ran it in 39.39 seconds Without stopping.. YAY!!!! Next year I hope to run the 10K. It was a very fun run. There were lots of people dressed up in costume. We saw Indians, Pilgrims, Turkeys, and even Santa and his reindeer's. Heck we should have worn our pilgrim costumes from Halloween 08.. HA! That would have been hilarious. They even had a mini race for the children, in 2 years we will definitely have Garrett run as well. The run definitely did not make me feel guilty about stuffing my face at dinner time. My future mother in law sure knows how to cook.. Yum yum. I sure have big shoes to fill and in little as 1 month because this year Christmas will be at our new home. Yay!!! I can't wait till I get out of work to go decorate our home for the Holidays. Happy Decorating everyone!!!

Flash Back Friday!

I still can't believe how fast Garrett is growing up. He is changing so much on a daily basis. His latest milestone is saying Thank you in English and Spanish. It's truly the cutest thing ever. I love his baby voice oh and the baby laugh. I just want to bottle it up so I'll never forget that adorable baby laugh. God has truly blessed my life with this little joy.

Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday Mike and I took Garrett to the Pumpkin Patch. I'd love to say that we had so much fun and that Garrett really enjoyed it, but it was not fun. It may have been the lack of sleep that day or the fact that he just wanted to do what he wanted to do!!! But Garrett wanted nothing to do with Mommy or Daddy. In fact whenever we tried picking him up he would throw the biggest tantrum All he wanted to do was run around like a mad man. I think he went up to 4 different famalies and just stared at them. We tried distracting him but it didn't seem to work... Until Daddy had a great idea. Lets let him push the wagon.. It helped for a little while.. Needless to say we weren't there for very long but I managed to snap a few photos. Hopefully next year will go allot smoother.

U2 Concert

This weekend we also went to the U2 concert. All I have to say about that is... AMAZING! What was even better was the fact that the Black Eyed Peas were there opening act. If you ask me they were the perfect band to open the show. Fergie has amazing energy and sounds great live. It didn't even matter where you sat because of the 360 rotating stage. It was by far the best concert I have ever been too. Of course I only have a few pictures because Someone didn't charge the camera like I told them too.

Where It's been and Where it's going.

A couple people have been asking when am I going to put up pictures of the house so here are a couple of the outside before and after. Mike is very handy and he has done an amazing job with the front yard. We are currently working on the backyard so I'll post those when it's all done...

The Blue's..

I've got the Wedding Planning Blues. Why are Weddings so darn expensive? I totally understand why some people choose to elope or decide to go to Vegas. Seriously people is it too much to ask for?! I'm finding out that even a small wedding can cost an arm and a leg. :( Blah! Not really having fun here.. It's more like a huge stressor. I guess I'll just have to see how things start to unfold in the next couple of weeks. I'm praying that this experience will be fun and stress free. I'll keep you posted!

The Joys Of Parenthood!

Warning If you have a sensitive tummy and get grossed out quickly you may not want to read this.

A little update... We bought Garrett a training toilet a couple months back because he had started going potty on the toilet at daycare and we wanted to encourage him to keep doing it. Well since the move I have been a little lazy and haven't really been putting him on it. I know bad mommy. Well last night during our getting ready for bed routine.. while Garrett was in the tub I saw him pushing really hard.. Oh No!!! So I yell at Mike and ask him to bring his toliet into his bathroom.. Thankfully he was in the office, which is right by his bathroom. So he brings the potty and as I pick Garrett out of tub a huge piece of poop flys into his toilet... Thank Goodness!!!! So Garrett did his business, I wipe him clean and put him back into the tub filled with water. 2 minutes later I noticed he was starting to push again.... But this time it was too late. He had already pooped in the tub and No Mike insight. It wasn't really fun trying to clean that mess up with garrett standing in the tub crying as I try to rinse him off. Yikes! Next time I'm making sure to let him sit on the potty a little longer.

Have I mentioned how Garrett somehow never seems to vomit, spit up, or poop on Daddy but somehow ALWAYS gets me?! haha Oh well maybe he just knows I don't really mind because Spit Happens! Oh the joys of parenting. To be honest the whole poop and vomit thing used to make me want to vomit. I worked at a daycare center for 4 years and could never handle the stuff, but now it doesn't even phase me. Strange how that happens..
